Savory Pumpkin Sauce with Pasta

Easy and delicious. A creamy, robust pumpkin sauce that's perfect for fall.

  • 15 oz canned pumpkin
  • 1 cup chopped apple
  • 1 tablespoon chopped onion
  • 1 cup coconut milk or your choice of plant milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon rubbed sage
  • 8 oz pasta, cooked


  1. In a high-speed blender, puree the pumpkin, apple, coconut milk, salt, pepper, and sage until smooth and creamy. 

  2. Pour into a medium saucepan and simmer over medium-high heat until heated through and piping hot. Stir frequently to prevent sticking. 

  3. Serve over your choice of pasta and top with sage chips, if desired.
