Vegan Roasted Garlic Hummus Recipe

  • 1 15 ounce can garbanzo beans or 2 cups cooked
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil optional, omit for lower fat content
  • 10-15 cloves roasted garlic


  1. Drain most of the liquid from the beans and pour into a high speed blender or food processor.
  2. Add the lemon juice, cumin, onion powder, tahini, olive oil, and roasted garlic and blend until very smooth and creamy ... about a minute or so.
  3. Serve with veggies or crackers.
  4. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about three days.
