Vegan Caramel Sauce is much easier to make than you think! I'd had so much trouble finding a vegan version in the store and, turns out, with a few simple ingredients and in less than 10 minutes, I can make my own! So can you!
Place all ingredients in a heavy-bottomed saucepan.
Heat over medium-high heat until bubbling.
Stir frequently for 5 minutes. The consistency of the caramel will change and get thicker.
For a pourable sauce, remove from heat after 5 minutes of boiling. For a firmer sauce, let cook for 1 to 2 minutes more.
Store in the refrigerator for up to a few days. If it thickens too much for your liking, just thin it with a little plant-based milk or water.
