  • 12 oz extra firm or firm tofu pressed for 20 minutes, optional
  • 1/4 cup boysenberry syrup or maple syrup, or other favorite syrup
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. Saute the tofu in an oiled pan with a quarter cup of boysenberry syrup, or another favorite syrup.

  2. Let simmer in the syrup for several minutes on each side, until the syrup has thickened and turned darker.

  3. Serve on bread or buns with vegan cheese and onions and any other condiments you'd like.
