Ingredients

  • 1 batch vegan breakfast sausage mix
  • 1 tbsp oil optional
  • 2 cups plant-based milk unflavored, unsweetened
  • 1/4 cup flour GF, rice flour, or regular all-purpose
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • black pepper
  • red pepper flakes
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Make the vegan breakfast sausage mix from Planted365. OR, use your favorite vegan seasoned meat crumbles.

  2. Brown the sausage mix in a large skillet over medium heat. Break apart into crumbles. Use oil if needed, or go oil-free if using suitable pans. 

  3. Pour the plant-based milk into the sausage mix and simmer until bubbly. 

  4. In a half cup cold water, thoroughly mix a quarter cup of flour into a slurry. Stir well until it's smooth and all lumps are gone. 

  5. Pour into the milk and sausage mixture and stir constantly until bubbly and thickened, about three minutes. Add more black pepper and red pepper flakes, if desired.
