Maple Sweet Potato Soup

This easy to make sweet potato soup is sweetened with just a bit of maple syrup. It's simple and oh so delicious.

  • 3 medium sweet potatoes, baked
  • 1 tbsp bouillon paste or powder
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp powdered ginger
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper or to taste
  • 3 cups water more or less for desired constistency
  • 2 tbsp avocado or walnut oil optional
  • red pepper flakes


  1. Rinse the sweet potatoes and place them on a baking sheet. Bake them at 420 degrees F for about an hour. 

  2. Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and puree until very smooth.

  3. Heat again to the desired temperature before serving.

  4. Garnish with a drizzle of maple syrup, more black pepper, and some red pepper flakes, if desired.
