Vegan Cheese Balls Bites are decadently delicious and so easy to make!
The VIDEO VIDEO is below!
This is NOT a health food. It’s total comfort and party food. These are actually adapted from a non-vegan recipe I saw on Delish. It was super easy to swap out vegan versions of just about everything and come up with these tasty treats.
I made these New Year’s Eve day and we took them with us that evening to a big bash. We were the only vegans, but everyone loved them and came back for seconds … and thirds.
This starts out with your favorite brand of vegan cream cheese and cheddar cheese shreds. I usually use Daiya because that’s what my local store carries.
Psst … My store carries Daiya and other vegan products because I asked for them. Just go to the customer service desk at your grocery store and ask for a product request form. Fill it in with any vegan product you’d like to see on their shelves. They probably won’t be able to get everything you ask for, but they’re usually happy to try to accommodate when they can. We now have Daiya cheese, pizzas, desserts, Smart Dogs, a couple of different brands of tofu, and other goodies.
The hardest part is getting it all mixed. Room temperature vegan cream cheese works best.
Just keep at it!
Then form into balls. This recipe made a lot … about 30. So this is perfect party food. I used a tablespoon to scoop out kind of uniform balls.
Chopped pecans, dried chives, and Bac-o-Bits make a tasty coating.
Just roll them in the crumbles and use a thin pretzel as an edible skewer.
These are best eaten on day one. They get just a tiny bit soggy if left in the fridge too long.
