What Do You Like About Corn?

“It’s corn. A big lump with knobs. It has the juice” … OK, I love the corn song kid. He’s adorable. But corn is pretty easy to love, too. Corn is delicious and also a nutritious grain with essential vitamins and minerals. One cup of cooked corn contains approximately 143 calories, 3.5g of protein, 31g of carbohydrates, 3.5g of fiber, and various nutrients like vitamin C, B6, magnesium, and potassium. It’s a healthy and tasty staple in most cuisines.

Air Fryer Corn on the Cob How To

To start, gather your essential ingredients: fresh corn, olive oil spray, and a little salt. Preparing the corn is simple – remove the husks and silk, leaving the ears of sweet corn clean and ready for cooking. If needed, you can use a sharp knife to trim the size of the corn to fit your air fryer basket.

Interesting Recipe: Make Corn Silk Tea

Corn silk you would otherwise discard can also be made into a simple, old-fashioned tea. Place a tablespoon of clean, chopped corn silks in a cup. Pour a cup of boiling water over them and let them steep for about 10 minutes.

Season the Corn to Your Liking

A classic combination includes a sprinkle of black pepper and chili powder, but feel free to get creative and add additional flavors like plant-based parmesan, nutritional yeast, or fresh herbs.

Into the Air Fryer

Place the seasoned corn cobs in the air fryer basket in a single layer. It’s important not to overcrowd them to ensure even cooking. You can cook the corn in batches or use a larger air fryer to accommodate more ears. I love my air fryer and use it almost daily. And now that I know how easy it is to make corn in it, I love it even more. I use the Cosori Dual Blaze 6.8 Qt Air Fryer, and I think it’s made a massive difference in how successful I’ve been with air frying. It’s enormous, and the heat is on both the bottom and the top, so things don’t need to be flipped or shaken halfway through. I hardly use my oven anymore.
