As the owner of this website (the “Site”), Planted 365, we understand that your privacy is of critical importance. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect from you via the Site and how we use and disclose such information.

OUR USE OF COOKIES

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. Additionally, when you subscribe to our Newsletter, or fill out our Contact form, we collect certain information from you, including your name and email address. We refer to this information as “Contact Information.”

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Contact Information.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We use the Contact Information that we collect to send you our Newsletter or other Planted 365 communications regarding our website and your newsletter subscription.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us improve and optimize our Site and Newsletter (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site and the Newsletter, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

We use the Device Information to provide you with targeted advertisements we believe may be of interest to you.

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information. For example:

  1. a) We use Google Analytics to analyze the use of our website. Google Analytics gathers information about website use by means of cookies. The information gathered relating to our website is used to create reports about the use of our website. We publish interest-based advertisements on the Site; that is, ads that are tailored to reflect your interests. To help understand your interests, AdSense, Google and our other advertising partners will track your behavior on our website and on other websites across the Internet using cookies.

Some third-party advertisements may be provided by Google, which uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google uses the DART cookie, which enables it to serve ads to our users based on their visits to this site and other sites on the Web. By using this Site, you consent to the use of such cookies and the sharing of data captured by such cookies with AdSense, Google, and our other third party partners. DATA RETENTION

When you subscribe to the Newsletter, we will maintain your name, email address and IP address for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

FOR EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AREA RESIDENTS

If you reside in a country in the European Economic Area (EEA), then under the GDPR and applicable data protection laws you have the rights, among other things, to access your personal data, have us erase it, and/or restrict its further processing.  If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill requests you have made (for example sending you the Newsletter), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your Device Information and Contact information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States in order to fulfill delivery of our Newsletter and other Planted 365 communications. Furthermore, you Device Information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States to provide Google Analytics and targeted Advertising.

CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. The most recent version of the Privacy Policy will always be posted on the Site, with the “Effective Date” posted at the top of the Policy.  If we make any material changes to our Privacy Policy or how we handle your personal information, or we are going to use any personal information in a manner that is materially different from that stated in our Privacy Policy at the time we collected such information, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to consent to the change. If you do not consent, your personal information will be used as agreed to under the terms of the privacy policy in effect at the time we obtained that information. By using our Site or services after the Effective Date, you are deemed to consent to our then-current privacy policy. We will use information previously obtained in accordance with the Privacy Policy in effect when the information was obtained from you.
