Sugar-free isn’t a struggle at all with treats like this. Super healthy and ready in a half hour, mostly baking time.
We had a box of pears from my sweetie’s aunt in California. They were perfectly ripe, too. I put this in the oven just before dinner and it was ready in time for dessert.
Pear Crumble is Easy and Sugar-Free
Pears, btw, are in season somewhere most of the year and are easy to find at any local grocery. I used red and yellow pears because that was what we had. Any kind is good.

Yeah. Like that. But warm, with cold vanilla n’ice cream. That’s good, too.
So easy. I didn’t add any sugar, because that’s my thing right now, but of course please do add it if you like. It would be delicious.
Just slice the pears and arrange in a small baking dish. I did kind of a Hasslebeck kind of thing with them. Then mix the crumble ingredients and sprinkle over the pears. Bake at 375 degrees F for about 25 minutes, until the pears are tender and juicy.
The n’ice cream is made like any other. I used vanilla beans, but they’re super expensive right now … like $2-$3 a bean. So … Vanilla extract might be more economical and easier to find.
To make this n’ice cream, just put all the intended ingredients in a food processor or blender and process until it’s smooth like soft serve ice cream. Spoon the warm pear crumble over top. Mmm.

Pear Crumble with Vanilla N'ice Cream is super quick and simple. Sweet but sugar-free. Vegan and plant-based.
Vanilla N'ice Cream
- 2 frozen bananas
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 6 ice cubes
- 1 tsp vanilla extract or 1 vanilla bean
- stevia optional
Core the pears and slice them thinly. Arrange them in a small baking dish.
Mix together the remaining crumble ingredients and sprinkle over the sliced pears.
Bake at 375 degrees F for about a half hour, until the pears are nice and tender.
In a food processor or high-speed blender, process the n'ice cream ingredients until very smooth and creamy. Add more coconut or plant-based milk if needed for blending. This should be pretty sweet, but if you'd like it more to just add stevia to taste.
Spoon the warm pears over the n'ice cream and serve immediately.
