Mmm, avocado mayo. Traditional mayo has been successfully veganized by plant based companies like JUST (formerly Hampton Creek)’s Just Mayo. But that’s not the only available plant based spread or topping. There are lots of spreads that are easy and inexpensive to make right at home.
Yummy, spicy sriracha lime avocado mayo is a delicious, simple way to add lots of flavor to any vegan sandwich or burger. Easy to make and healthy. It would be super delish on an I’m Possible Burger. It can also be thinned a little with water or coconut milk and used as a creamy salad dressing. I think it would be great on this salad from my book Easy Affordable Raw.
Just in case you haven’t tried it yet, sriracha sauce is a bit jug of spicy goodness. It’s a moderately hot chili sauce made from red jalapeño peppers and garlic. On the Scoville scale, used to measure hotness, they’re fairly low at 2,200.
Also, FYI. It’s easy to mispronounce … or it was for me. Here’s a clip from a Sriracha documentary …
