Hot Cocoa or Hot Chocolate?
Is there a difference? There is!
Hot Cocoa is made from cocoa powder. Cocoa powder is ground cocoa beans that have had their cocoa butter removed. Hot Chocolate is made from cocoa beans which still has all the cocoa butter and other components of the bean.
For the purposes of this post and to keep things simple, I’ve just called it all hot cocoa. Vegan hot cocoa, to be more specific.
