Chocolate Watermelon Ice Cream: Raw Food Dessert Recipe
Chocolate watermelon ice cream is what happens when you run out of frozen bananas but still have plenty of frozen watermelon and an itch for chocolate that needs to be scratched. It takes only a few minutes to whip this up in any high speed bender. Personally, and I never thought I’d say this because I can be frugal and they’re not cheap, but I absolutely love my Vitamix. I use it at least once every day, and more often two or even three times.
Watermelon + cocoa is a total health win-win. Watermelon is diuretic and can decrease inflammation and reduce muscle soreness, treat and even reverse erectile dysfunction, and improve and speed up digestion. The cocoa powder has tons of healthy benefits as well, and can help lower blood pressure and cholesterol, improve brain function and skin health, improve mood, and even treat constipation.
All that and it’s frosty and delicious, too.
Here’s the recipe.
